"Entrepreneurship has been my front door for doing what I love and believe for a living. My first entrepreneurial project started at age eight, powered with crayons, scissors and paper. A very small, yet successful greeting card company was co-founded by my sister and myself in my grandmother’s house. As with most first ventures our main supporters were family and friends. This one fact has remained true until today."
TEAMLABS/ is a team of entrepreneurs reinventing education by creating learning laboratories, within business ecosystems in spaces of innovation. Starting September 2013, TEAMLABS/ is launching LEINN in Barcelona, a four-year undergraduate degree in Leadership Entrepreneurship, and INNovation) based on principles of teampreneurship and ‘learning by doing’. Education happens through real projects for real clients since the first day, using the enterprise as a vehicle for learning.
This four year Bologna certified undergraduate degree fully uses the methodology of Team Academy, an entrepreneurial spirited method that has been in Finland for over 20 years, and is currently credited by the University of Mondragón in Spain and operates under the Mondragon Team Academy umbrella (MTA) which has learning laboratorios in Oñati, Irún, Bilbao, Madrid and Amsterdam. The LEINN degree is a different form of education and learning. It places people at the centre of the pedagogical methodology. By creating learning labs across the country and in different sectors, LEINNers are not students but teampreneurs, don't work in classrooms but have open plan offices, there are no teachers, but team coaches. LEINNERs will also embark in learning journeys to learn, relate and do business in different cultures. Holding the firm belief that a cultural change is achieved through a different form of education, I am currently part of TEAMLABS/ in Barcelona, Spain.
